DIY Christmas balls from a plastic bottle

To make a simple New Year's craft from plastic bottles we will need:

We take the bottle and cut off the neck and bottom from it.

Then we cut the middle part into rings 0.8-1 cm wide. It is advisable not to crumple the rings so that the ball turns out perfectly round, without “scars”.

Glue the resulting rings together. For plastic, it is better to use transparent glue such as Moment-Crystal, or special glue for needlework. Take one ring and apply a small amount of glue in two places - top and bottom. Then carefully insert one ring into the other so that they are perpendicular to each other.

We hold the product with our hands a little so that the shape does not change, and let the ball blank dry. Then you need to glue two more rings in the same way to make a ball.

When the glue dries, we begin to paint our New Year's ball with paint.

The next stage will be decorating our future New Year's ball. To do this, apply a random design with white paint, and then, to add a New Year’s mood, cover the entire product with glitter nail polish.

So that the ball can be hung on the Christmas tree, carefully use a needle to thread the thread in the place where the rings were glued together, directly under one of the rings - the top one.

You can also use tape for this, but you will need to thread it in advance, even at the moment of gluing the rings. But it will look more original.

That's all, the New Year's ball from a plastic bottle is ready. All that's left is to hang it on the Christmas tree :)

Sometimes you want to quickly make some kind of craft for your local area. To please the children or improve your mood. If you don’t want to bother with the long process of cutting out feathers for or leaves for, then make balls from plastic bottles that will become a spectacular decoration for your yard. They may be different types, so consider all the options and choose the one that suits you best.

Master class: balls from plastic bottles

Option 1

This ball can be made in several ways. The first one is the simplest, if you have a wooden blank in the shape of a ball. Well, or you know how to use a wood lathe, and also found a large deck. Then all that remains is to prepare all the collected containers. To make a ball, you need to attach it with self-tapping screws to wooden blank all covers, leaving small gaps between them. After completing this stage, all that remains is to screw all the bottles to the caps. To get the balls various colors, either select bottles in matching colors or paint them before attaching them to the wood piece.

The second method is for those who do not know how to handle wood, but found an old ball in the house. It is necessary to cover the ball with newspaper sheets. After the layer becomes very dense, you need to paint it in the chosen color (golden or silver look elegant). Then glue the bottle cap to the surface of the base ball. Some people put her on double sided tape, however, superglue or plastic glue will be more reliable and practical. You can glue the entire bottle at once to more accurately determine the required gaps between the components of the product.

Balls can be made not only in one color, but also using the mosaic technique. Just use the same bottles, both in shape and size. This structure can be placed on a metal rod, suspended, or simply placed on the ground.

Option 2

You can decorate the veranda of your home with these balls so that on summer evenings you can admire how the light wind sways them. With certain skills, such balls are made from plastic bottles very quickly.

To make a small product, you will need 12-20 plastic bottles. The larger the ball, the more containers you will have to collect. Only the bottoms of the containers are used. Therefore, it is necessary to use a sharp stationery knife and scissors to cut out each one so that you get flowers. In each petal you need to make two symmetrical holes with a hot awl. It is better to start collecting after completing all the workpieces. Now prepare the fishing line that you will use to fasten the petals (this is much more convenient than using a furniture stapler).

Option 3

There is another way to make a ball from plastic bottles that will decorate local area. First, the bottoms are cut off from all prepared identical containers. If necessary, they are painted with acrylic paints. Next, a thick cement solution is mixed, which must be shaped into a ball. Because this product is street decoration, then it can be any size. After the cement ball is formed, it is necessary to quickly press the bottoms over the entire surface until the cement hardens.

These balls made from plastic bottles can decorate the veranda and garden, local area and front garden. Good luck and creative inspiration!

Svetlana Nedilko

Very beautiful balls, you can make them from DIY plastic bottles. With these balls you can decorate an outdoor gazebo, and even rain is not a problem for such balls, they will always be bright and beautiful.

For work we need:

1. Bottoms bottles(12 pcs.).

3. Scissors.

5. Foil or tinsel for decoration.

For one ball, we need to select plastic bottles 12 pieces of one color and volume. Cutting out the bottom bottles that resemble flowers.

We take one bottom for the center, and we will attach the remaining five to it with fishing line, having first made two holes with an awl. In the first stages of my work, I decided to use a stapler. It worked.

We make the second half of the ball in the same way as the first.

Then we fasten them together with a stapler. And at the end

It is best and most convenient to fasten the petals together with fishing line. To do this, we make two holes in the petals with an awl.

Before decorating our ball, we make a loop for it from fishing line or braid so that it can be hung.

You can put foil in the middle of the ball.

In my work, I used small balls of tinsel for decoration.

So it’s ready, the ball is both light and beautiful.

I hope mine master- the class will be not only interesting for you, but also useful.

I wish you all creative success. Thank you for your attention!

DIY decorative crafts for the garden - “exclusive” products. Everyone brings in what they want to see. For example, homemade items for the garden, such as balls made from plastic bottles, can be completely different. They have one thing in common: the material for manufacturing.

Design options, first of all, differ in mounting methods. But they are not all complicated.

Openwork ball made of plastic bottles

If you want the ball, which acts as a homemade product for the garden, to be dense and openwork, you will have to use only the bottoms of plastic bottles.

Selecting bottles same size, cut off their curly bottoms. Of course, if the ball is large, you will need quite a lot of bottles, but, you see, the effectiveness of the DIY craft for the garden depends on this.

As a base on which to attach decorative layer homemade products for the dacha, the easiest way is to use a ball of cement. It’s easy to make by mixing a solution of cement, sand (3:1) and water (so that the mass is plastic, does not spread, but does not crumble).

The work of decorating the ball must be done quickly so that the solution does not harden. Very large plastic crafts It’s better to decorate together.

Using sharp cut edges, we stick the bottoms into the cement ball - tightly one to the other and to the same depth.

Such plastic crafts can be painted - acrylic paint is best suited for this case.

Plastic fan ballnew bottles

An interesting do-it-yourself garden craft option is a fan ball. You don't even need to cut off the bottoms to do this. And you will need much fewer bottles.

Prepare the plastic bottles that you plan to use for your homemade garden project. Keep in mind that this technique will not work with a whole plastic ball that is too large. That is, plastic crafts of this kind can be made very large (by enlarging the base), but the “fan” look of the DIY garden craft will disappear.

Make a cement ball and simply stick the bottle necks into it. In order for the ball-fan to dry safely and the bottles to be securely attached to the base, you need to hang the product or make a temporary support with a pole.

However, such homemade crafts for the dacha do not necessarily have to lie on the flowerbed: airy plastic crafts can also look interesting.

However, if you try a little, such crafts for the dacha can be made even more original. No one obliges you to use plastic bottles of the same color, but different colors– this is already a potential pattern. For example, using the first fastening technique (bottoms only), you can make a globe with a map in which the oceans blue color wash the continents.

THANK YOU so much for the very useful information in the article. Everything is presented very clearly. It feels like a lot of work has been done to analyze the operation of the eBay store

    • Thank you and other regular readers of my blog. Without you, I would not have been motivated enough to dedicate much time to maintaining this site. My brain is structured this way: I like to dig deep, systematize scattered data, try things that no one has done before or looked at from this angle. It’s a pity that our compatriots have no time for shopping on eBay because of the crisis in Russia. They buy from Aliexpress from China, since goods there are much cheaper (often at the expense of quality). But online auctions eBay, Amazon, ETSY will easily give the Chinese a head start in the range of branded items, vintage items, handmade items and various ethnic goods.

What is valuable in your articles is your personal attitude and analysis of the topic. Don't give up this blog, I come here often. There should be a lot of us like that. Email me I recently received an email with an offer that they would teach me how to trade on Amazon and eBay. And I remembered your detailed articles about these trades. area I re-read everything again and concluded that the courses are a scam. I haven't bought anything on eBay yet. I am not from Russia, but from Kazakhstan (Almaty). But we also don’t need any extra expenses yet. I wish you good luck and stay safe in Asia.

  • It’s also nice that eBay’s attempts to Russify the interface for users from Russia and the CIS countries have begun to bear fruit. After all, the overwhelming majority of citizens of the countries of the former USSR do not have strong knowledge of foreign languages. No more than 5% of the population speak English. There are more among young people. Therefore, at least the interface is in Russian - this is a big help for online shopping on this trading platform. eBay did not follow the path of its Chinese counterpart Aliexpress, where a machine (very clumsy and incomprehensible, sometimes causing laughter) translation of product descriptions is performed. I hope that at a more advanced stage of development of artificial intelligence, high-quality machine translation from any language to any in a matter of seconds will become a reality. So far we have this (the profile of one of the sellers on eBay with a Russian interface, but an English description):
