PinWin is an international online platform where non-stop competitions are held for architects, designers, decorators, photographers, as well as students of specialized universities.
How many competitions are there on the site?The number of competitions on the site varies. The list of competitions is indicated in the “All competitions” section, which is divided into “Current competitions” and “Competitions archive”. Works from archived competitions are available for viewing and commenting.
Who can take part in the competition?Depending on the goals of the competition, the theme, the wishes of the organizers and partners, architects, designers, decorators, technologists, design organizations, design bureaus, manufacturing enterprises, construction organizations, developers, design studios and workshops, students and teachers of architectural , design and construction universities and faculties, photographers.
Works for the competition are accepted until a certain date. On the competition page there is a link “Conditions”, by clicking on which you can find out about the conditions of participation, the voting mechanism, and legal information. The date is also displayed when you hover over the competition image on the home page.
How to participate in the competition?If you want to take part in the project, you must register. The registration procedure is simple. To create an account, you must enter your login and your contact e-mail. Two letters will be sent to the specified email address: 1. A letter with a link to activate your account. 2. A letter with your registration data. After registration is completed, all options will be available. You can add your work, vote for your favorite design project, and leave comments. If for some reason you have not received a letter with an activation code, write to our technical support at the following address. In the letter, be sure to include your details - login and contact e-mail.
How to upload your work?You should follow the “add work” link, carefully read the terms of participation in the competition and check the box indicating your agreement with the terms of the competition. Then proceed to “fill out the application”. In the first field of the application, “Name of your work,” enter the name of the work, for example, “The nature of high-tech. Riga". In the second field, you need to upload a description of the project of no more than 2000 characters with spaces. In the explanatory note, it is advisable to write what the peculiarity, novelty, and originality of the design project is. You can find out additional requirements for the explanatory note by following the “Conditions” link on the page of the competition itself. Then upload images and select the main photo of the project. Images are accepted in jpg format with a width of at least 1050 pixels (regardless of whether the frame is vertical or horizontal). Pay attention to the names of files with images - they should not contain Cyrillic, only Latin letters and numbers. The amount of photographic material is regulated and prescribed in the conditions of a specific competition.
What is a “main photo”?The main photo - or the cover of the project - is the most impressive photograph, which most fully reflects the essence of the competition project. Technically, setting the main photo is simple. Drag the selected photo into the “main photo” window.
Photos or text are not attached to the project, what should I do?If your work doesn't load, try using a different browser. The version of your browser may be outdated. If changing the browser does not help, write us a letter to technical support at , indicating which browser you have and its version, briefly describing the problem and specifying the messages or errors that are displayed by the system. Don’t forget to write your registration information in the letter – login and e-mail.
In what format are works accepted for the competition?You can read more about the formats and requirements for competition works on the specific competition page in the “Conditions” section.
Is it possible to use photographs of one project in different competitions?Photos of the same project can be used in different competitions, unless otherwise specified in the conditions of a particular competition.
Who is on the jury?The organizers of the competition form the jury in stages, so changes in the composition of the jury members are possible throughout the competition. The composition of the jury for each competition can be viewed on the competition page in the “Jury” section.
How to ensure that your work is seen by the maximum number of PinWin participants?With any activity of participants and users (likes, comments), the competition entry moves to the first page, respectively, it is seen by a larger number of competition participants.
Why might the number of votes be decreasing?When choosing a finalist for the week, post-moderation and checking of votes for “suspicious activity” takes place. If vote cheating is detected, votes are removed.
When does the jury vote?Depending on the conditions of the competition, jury members can vote during the entire duration of the competition, or choose the winner directly from the “TOP-100” list.
Where are the winners of the competitions listed?After completion, the competition goes to the “Archive” section. On the page of the completed competition you will find a photo of the winner, a link to his portfolio, and a link to photo and video coverage from the award ceremony.
