To some extent, this is capable of zombifying others and competitors, creating a favorable environment for development. An exalted and extraordinary way of thinking may at first be somewhat frightening, but it will not leave you indifferent. Diverse interest on the part of the largest possible number of potential followers and competitors creates a specific atmosphere and emotional disposition for a positive result. The habit of not being lazy
Daily planning and following a clearly established routine does not leave time for thoughts associated with laziness. Their way of life and ingrained habits leave no room for pampered idleness. They do not have to make any special efforts to achieve the goal, because they consider this mode of work to be the most natural. When thinking about how to become rich, each person solves the problems of internal routine and mental well-being in his own way. But the less free time you leave for “empty” inaction, the more of it will be spent on fully perceiving the world around you and interacting with it. However, if you manage to increase your income and the amount of property by an order of magnitude (10 times) or more, then you can already say that your efforts are not fruitless.
So, what specific strategies lead to success and wealth, and why do some who work hard in this direction fail to move one step further? The fact is that there are quite a lot of paths that lead to increasing income and accumulating wealth. You can do this and that. And many actions can potentially lead to your life being easier financially and you feeling like a richer person.

However, if you want to become a rich person in the sense of earning not 20% more, but many times and tens of times more than now, then you need to understand that there is a very limited number of strategies that can lead you to wealth. And if your goal is to become richer, then failure to understand the limitations on the path to wealth will certainly lead you to failure.
So, if you want to become a rich person, then there are just a few wide paths and a couple of difficult mountain paths. First, I will briefly outline them, and then I will talk about them in more detail.
The first way is to create a business.
This is the most common way to become richer. The vast majority of rich people are businessmen. Not just the majority, but the vast majority of rich people. And if you want to become a successful and rich person, then be sure to consider this path for yourself, even if not in today’s time frame.
To begin with, at least let into your mind the idea that maybe someday you will become the owner of your own business. Or maybe you won't. But at least don't close yourself off to the idea. Learn more about business, get used to it.
I'm not saying it's an easy path. But understand one thing. The easiest way to become successful and rich is through business. Now I’m not talking specifically about you, maybe a different path will be easier for you, but the statistics speak for business.
It is clear that we need not just a business, but a successful business.
The advantages of this method.
- This is the easiest way to create wealth.

— If you understand the concept of risks and their reduction, then this is one of the most reliable ways.
Disadvantages of this method of achieving wealth.
- Usually this method takes quite a lot of time, although there are some lucky ones who succeed in everything at once and quickly.
“This method requires the ability to achieve results both now and to think in the long term. There are actually only a few people who know how to achieve results.
— If the business does not work out, then its owner may earn nothing or not much at all. There may be dozens of employees, large premises, a lot of nerves and work, and the net profit is meager. And that's the best case scenario. Or maybe years of work, but in the end nothing.
The second path to wealth is a vertical career.
In other words, you must become a big leader. This is the second most common path to wealth. But, of course, you need to become not just a leader, but the head of a large organization, or at least one of the members of senior management. And if a businessman can become relatively rich, even having owned a small but profitable business (for example, 15 employees ), then, I repeat, to become rich, being a major leader, you need to manage an organization ten times larger.
As far as I see, these are usually organizations with at least several hundred employees, and usually several thousand or even tens of thousands of people. Although the number of employees, of course, is not the main criterion.
The official income of a major executive in our time quite easily exceeds the income of an ordinary employee by 100-1000 times. In addition, the manager’s unofficial bonuses often even exceed his basic income.
I see how successful managers are given a share in the enterprise, they receive direct and veiled kickbacks, use inside information to make extremely profitable deals, receive interest-free loans for decades, etc. And such income (bonuses), I repeat, often exceeds the main income by several times.
It is clear that not everyone can become a major leader. However, if you have the inclination and ability to work your way up the career ladder, then this is one of your chances of becoming a rich person. And even if you don’t manage to get to the very top, still moving up at least 1-2 steps can make you many times richer. This is sometimes not as difficult as it seems.
The advantages of this method:
- If you have the ability to lead people and get results and have the technology for career growth, then this can be the fastest way to get rich. After all, your own business has a limited speed of development. It usually takes about 10 years for it to reach medium size. It also usually takes an entrepreneur several years to master entrepreneurship, even if he is quite talented (at work for another entrepreneur or through an unsuccessful business). The main thing is that an entrepreneur may not receive anything in the first years of work.
Movement along a vertical ladder can be extremely rapid. In 10 years, many achieve, if not the top, then very high levels in their careers. And the best thing is that along the way you immediately feel a serious increase in income, and not just, like entrepreneurs, a prize at the end of the journey.
— As a rule, you don’t need to be able to achieve a full-fledged result. Usually there are some criteria for evaluating a manager, which seem to be the same as the result, but have a distant meaning to it. You need to be able to achieve a formal result. For example, not to advance science, but to write a dissertation. You feel the difference, I hope.
Achieving formal results is not so easy, but it is many times easier than achieving real results, as is necessary for an entrepreneur. Therefore, if you have problems with real productivity, then it is better to start moving as a leader. (Just don’t deceive yourself and me. I don’t need this deception. It’s better to admit that you don’t know how to achieve results in the literal sense of the word than to deceive yourself).
— You need to have minimal management skills, leadership skills, independent motivation, and independent decision-making. All this is necessary for an entrepreneur, of course, even to a greater extent. But I repeat, high demands are only at the upper levels of a career. A step up 1-2 steps does not require much confidence and leadership skills.
The third way to achieve wealth is investing.
Investing is investing your own or someone else's money into something that can generate income. Usually these are, of course, shares and shares in some enterprises, as well as real estate, but there are also rarer forms of investment.
This method is much rarer than the first two. It’s difficult for me to say how many people have gotten rich with it, since people who usually invest money are people who have a business or a high income, like a manager. (At least at the time of writing) I have never met “pure” investors who would invest part of their salary and become rich from it, although I read about them in American books.
Typically, investing, even when using other people's money or your own high income, is a very long path to wealth. If you use your own money, then this is the longest path, which can last for decades. You can feel some visible effect after 15-20 investments. The long time frame for achieving the goal and the not so small risks of losing money make this method seem to be the most unsuccessful.
However, you need to understand that not every person can become an entrepreneur or a major leader. Sometimes a person has good analytical skills and patience, but no ability for career growth or business, but wants to become rich.
Then investing can come to the rescue.
It is clear that for any success in investing money, it is very desirable to also increase income. Otherwise, at the very beginning of the journey, when interest on investments is still low, everything will move too slowly, and the novice investor may lose enthusiasm.
The advantages of this method:
— You don’t need the ability to manage a large number of people,
— You don’t need developed will and ability to move things forward.
- The slowest way to achieve wealth,
— The result is noticeable only after a long period of time. Even 10 years may not be such a long time to invest. In the first few years, almost no result is visible, in contrast to business or career growth, where growth by even one step or small business development already has an impact on a person’s lifestyle.
— You need to have developed analytical skills and the ability to manage risks.
- If money is invested in high-return, high-risk ventures, disappointments are common and hence the ability to cope with such disappointments is required.
The fourth path to wealth is ordinary horizontal growth.
This is usually the most difficult path to wealth and the most rare. Over the course of my life, I have met quite a lot of rich people and have never met anyone who simply developed their skills and at the same time became rich, without combining it with business in at least some form.
In other words, if you are the best turner, the best driver, the best doctor, the best engineer, etc., then you will often (not always) earn more than not the best turner, etc. But usually this is just an income 1.5-3 times higher than the level of an average specialist. At the same time, achieving the status of the best specialist can easily take 10 or more years without any guarantee of success. And you have to work harder than an ordinary mechanic. And you will be more tired at work.
If you need to become successful and rich, then you need an order of magnitude more income and, accordingly, an order of magnitude more property. It is usually impossible to receive such an income that is an order of magnitude higher than the average, being simply the best specialist.
However, there are still exceptions. With the development of technology, globalization, etc. Places where such earnings occur began to appear. Many of them are before your eyes. Singers, athletes, movie stars, using the power of the media, suddenly became highly paid people, often without even creating any business, without investing anything, or running large enterprises.
In addition, sometimes those who, with their exceptional skills, are able to help very large organizations or rich people to survive began to earn quite a lot. (The very top of lawyers, doctors, etc.)
If you want to become rich by choosing this path, then I will tell you right away that this is one of the most difficult paths to wealth, where the probability of achieving success is tens of times lower than in business, and the competition is tougher.
However, due to circumstances, this path may be the simplest and easiest for you. Maybe you've already spent 10 years of hard work to become the best in a field where high salaries are exceptionally possible for the best people. Perhaps you have already spent many years becoming not only the best specialist, but also the most famous. Maybe your colleagues, whom you plan to surpass in the next couple of years, already earn very, very much. Maybe you have TV friends who would be happy to make a daily TV show for you. Maybe you are already an international master of sports and everyone tells you that after 2-3 years of training you will be among the top three athletes in the world.
Then, of course, maybe you don’t need to strive to go into business or do anything else like that. Make the most of what you already have and become rich.
But I repeat that the strategy of becoming the best specialist is usually the most disastrous for those who want to become rich with its help. And if your strategy is a failure, then no amount of work, no amount of talent, no amount of luck will help you become rich.
Therefore, if you want to become rich, then think about how you can not only be the best specialist, but also how you can build at least a small business around your skills. (Maybe with someone's help)
Advantages of this method:
- If you have put in years of effort and have already become the best, then it may be easier for you to take advantage of the power of some amplifier (media, patent law, copyright) and become rich as the best specialist.
Disadvantages of this method.
- This method for achieving our goal (to become rich) is replete with some shortcomings. Usually this method is too complicated, the probability of success is scanty. If you are at the very beginning of your path to wealth, then this is the last method I would recommend to you.
- Happiness is not only in money. If this saying applies to you, then just become a better specialist, even if it doesn't make you rich. Many exclusive specialists get the satisfaction of being the best. To some extent, of course, this is the reason for their low incomes. If you carefully read the article, you will understand that there are actually not 4 methods, but 2. The last methods are too long, risky and so rare that they are suitable for only a few.
Thus, if you want to become rich, then you need to either become an entrepreneur or a big executive. You can become an investor along the way, which is almost inevitable when your income is ten times higher than the average.
Now we come to why most of those who set themselves the goal of becoming rich do not achieve their goal?
Yes, because their efforts, diligence, perseverance, intelligence, ambition, time and energy are spent in those strategies where it is almost impossible to become rich.
After all, it doesn’t really matter whether you produce 10 times more results than the average employee if you work on a fixed salary. Years of your efforts may yield nothing or even only add to your problems. And vice versa. If you are an entrepreneur and work 10 times more efficiently than the average, then your income will be 10 times more. (It’s possible that not even at 10, but at 20-30)
A lot about achieving wealth depends on the framework within which you work. If the framework (strategy) is not the same, then efforts may be meaningless. And as soon as you change your strategy, your efforts can lead to wealth.
Again. If you want to become rich and not just increase your income, then focus all your efforts on either entrepreneurship or a vertical career. Develop the necessary qualities. (For example, confidence, ability to lead people). Acquire the necessary skills. (Entrepreneurial thinking, for example). Learn to achieve results, learn to work independently, manage colleagues even without the status of a manager, etc.
